To launch Nike LunarEpic Flyknit, we were challenged to create something that drove runners’ curiosity with an unexpected execution.

Taking as inspiration the texture of Deerupt shoe model, this fashion capsule-film challenges the perception of the viewer, establishing a relationship between the main characters and a grid to be re-shaped.

The idea took a cue from the sole and landed on a film that tells the story of an ethereal crew of runners, who come together in the night of a small island in China.

Taking as inspiration the texture of Deerupt shoe model, this fashion film challenges the perception of the viewer, establishing a relationship between the main characters and a grid to be re-shaped.
Starting with a grid city map of Shanghai. Before we can even think which city it is, the map zooms into one cell featuring Yang Mi & Luhan.

We can see the grid being transformed, pumped, rippled, and re-shaped by their movements.

Using a combination of a running choreography and customised LED Light outfit, we were able to create a massive piece of artwork, using the power of running to generate it.
